Internship – Legal Department

Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) offers an internship in its Legal Department for Slovak law students. This is a unique opportunity to work within the central bank of a Eurozone member state, gaining exposure to financial regulation, monetary policy law, and central banking legal frameworks.

As a Eurosystem participant, NBS interns gain insight into ECB legal instruments, the Single Supervisory Mechanism, and the legal framework governing the euro. The internship combines practical legal work with access to NBS's renowned library and research resources.

Assist the Legal Department with research on banking regulation and central bank law. Support drafting of NBS regulatory measures and internal legal opinions. Research CJEU and ECB case law on financial supervision matters. Help prepare materials for NBS Bank Board meetings. Attend internal training and seminars on Eurosystem legal topics. Support administrative law proceedings and document management.

Currently enrolled at a Slovak law faculty (Mgr. programme). Slovak citizen or EU national. Strong academic record in public law, financial law, or EU law. Security clearance eligibility. Slovak and English fluency. Available for 3-6 months.
