AP Legal, Lalitpur's specialist IP and technology law firm, offers a 6-month paid internship in its Intellectual Property & Technology practice. Located near Patan Durbar Square, AP Legal provides interns with specialised training in one of Nepal's fastest-growing legal practice areas — intellectual property, technology licensing, and digital economy regulation.

Interns will gain hands-on experience with trademark prosecution at the Department of Industry, copyright advisory under the Copyright Act 2059, and technology startup legal support. As Lalitpur emerges as Nepal's technology hub — with a growing ecosystem of IT companies, startups, and digital service providers — this internship offers unique exposure to the intersection of law and innovation in the Kathmandu Valley.

• Assist with trademark applications and prosecution at the Department of Industry
• Research IP law issues under the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022 and Copyright Act 2059
• Draft basic technology licensing agreements and copyright assignment documentation
• Monitor trademark databases for potential infringements and conflicts
• Assist with IP due diligence for investment and M&A transactions
• Support technology startup clients with basic legal documentation

• LL.B. from a recognised Nepali university (final year or graduate)
• Strong interest in intellectual property, technology, and innovation law
• Knowledge of the Patent, Design and Trademark Act 2022 and Copyright Act 2059
• Good academic record in IP law, commercial law, and international law
• English fluency required for international IP correspondence
• Tech-savvy with interest in startups and digital innovation
• Commitment to the full 6-month internship duration
