Islamic Finance Legal Internship — First Abu Dhabi Bank
First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) offers a 2-month paid legal internship focusing on Islamic finance and Sharia-compliant banking at our Al Maryah Island headquarters in the ADGM financial district.
Programme Details
- Duration: 2 months (Summer 2026)
- Compensation: AED 3,500/month stipend
- Status: Paid internship
What You Will Do
- Assist the Islamic finance legal team with Murabaha, Ijara, and Sukuk documentation
- Research AAOIFI standards and Sharia Supervisory Board resolutions
- Draft comparison notes on Islamic and conventional finance legal structures
- Support regulatory compliance reviews under UAE Central Bank Islamic banking regulations
- Attend internal Sharia board meetings as an observer

Requirements
- Law or Islamic finance student in final year of undergraduate or postgraduate programme
- Interest in Islamic banking, Sharia law, and financial regulation
- Familiarity with basic Islamic finance concepts (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk)
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Eligible to work in the UAE during the internship period
- Students from UAE University, INCEIF, or universities with Islamic finance programmes preferred
