Legal Intern – Banking Compliance

Danske Bank offers a legal internship at its Odense branch operations, providing hands-on experience in banking regulation and compliance at Denmark's largest financial institution. Odense, the capital of Funen and Denmark's third-largest city, hosts Danske Bank's regional compliance support functions serving the Funen and southern Jutland markets.

You will work alongside experienced legal counsels on AML compliance, banking regulation, and consumer protection matters, gaining insight into the legal challenges facing a major Nordic financial group.

What You Will Do

• Assist with AML/KYC regulatory compliance monitoring
• Research Danish and EU banking regulation developments
• Support the legal team with contract review and policy updates
• Draft internal advisory notes on regulatory compliance matters
• Assist with data protection and GDPR compliance projects

• Support the legal and compliance team on regulatory matters
• Conduct legal research and draft advisory notes
• Assist with compliance monitoring and policy review
• Attend team meetings and internal training sessions
• Complete assigned research and analysis projects

• Enrolled in or recently completed cand.jur. at a Danish university (SDU Odense or other)
• Interest in banking law, financial regulation, or compliance
• Fluent in Danish and English
• Good analytical and writing skills
• Familiarity with the Hvidvaskloven or banking regulation basics is an advantage
