Legal Intern — Banking Law

Banesco Banco Universal is offering a legal internship in its Legal Department in Caracas. This internship provides exposure to banking regulation, financial products documentation, and regulatory compliance at one of Venezuela's largest private banks.

Key Responsibilities

• Research SUDEBAN regulations and BCV circulars affecting banking operations
• Assist with reviewing and organising loan documentation and security instruments
• Draft summaries of regulatory changes and compliance updates for the legal team
• Support the team with preparation of regulatory filings and reports
• Maintain legal research files and regulatory tracking databases

• Support legal counsel with banking regulatory research
• Assist with document preparation for SUDEBAN filings
• Attend internal legal department training sessions
• Participate in the bank's professional development programme

• Currently enrolled in final two years of law school (Derecho) at a Venezuelan university
• Interest in banking, financial services, or commercial law
• Proficient in Spanish; English a plus
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
