Legal Intern — Banking Operations

Banco Industrial is offering a Legal Internship in its Legal Department in Guatemala City. You will gain practical experience in banking law, loan documentation, and regulatory compliance at Guatemala's largest private bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with review of loan documentation and security packages
• Research banking regulations and SIB normativa
• Support property registration processes at the Registro General de la Propiedad
• Draft basic legal correspondence and internal memoranda
• Maintain case tracking and legal documentation databases

• Support the legal department on daily banking operations
• Process loan documentation and property registration files
• Assist with regulatory reporting preparation
• Participate in bank legal department training programs

• Currently enrolled in a Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales at a recognised Guatemalan university
• Completed at least 5th semester
• Interest in banking and financial law
• Proficiency in Spanish; English skills an advantage
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
