Legal Intern – Competition Law
The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) is offering a 3-month legal internship for law students interested in competition law and regulatory enforcement. You will assist CCCS legal officers with merger reviews, investigation research, and enforcement case preparation.
Programme Highlights
- Assist with legal research on competition law issues under the Competition Act, including anti-competitive agreements and abuse of dominance
- Support merger review assessments by researching market structures, competitive dynamics, and international precedents
- Prepare case summaries, research memos, and briefing notes for senior legal officers
- Research comparative competition law developments across ASEAN and international jurisdictions
- Attend CCCS internal training sessions and inter-agency meetings
Requirements
- Current law student at NUS, SMU, SUSS, or an overseas law school (penultimate or final year preferred)
- Strong academic record with interest in competition law, regulatory law, or economics
- Excellent analytical, research, and legal writing skills
- Coursework in competition law or industrial organisation is preferred
- Available for a 3-month commitment
This is a paid internship. A monthly allowance is provided in accordance with public sector internship guidelines.
