Legal Intern – Competition Law
Position Overview
Internship Description
Legal Intern – Competition Law at UOKiK
The Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów (UOKiK) offers a legal internship in the Competition Department for law students and recent graduates. Based at UOKiK's headquarters on Plac Powstańców Warszawy in central Warsaw, this internship provides unique insight into public enforcement of competition law in Poland.
About the Internship
Over 3-6 months, you will support UOKiK staff in investigating anticompetitive practices under the Ustawa o ochronie konkurencji i konsumentów and reviewing merger control notifications. Tasks include conducting market research, analysing economic data, drafting preliminary legal assessments, and assisting with file management for ongoing investigations.
This is a rare opportunity to see competition law enforcement from the inside — understanding how the Prezes UOKiK investigates cartels, assesses dominance abuse, and reviews mergers. The experience is invaluable for law students considering a career in competition law, whether in public service or private practice.
