Legal Intern – Corporate Legal
Samsung Electronics invites law students to apply for a Legal Internship in its Corporate Legal Office at Samsung Town, Seocho-gu, Seoul. Samsung's in-house legal team is one of Asia's largest, and this internship offers exposure to global corporate law, IP management, and regulatory compliance at the world's leading technology company.
Program Details
- Duration: 3-6 months (flexible start dates)
- Compensation: Paid — monthly intern salary plus Samsung employee benefits (cafeteria, shuttle bus)
- Eligibility: 2nd or 3rd year 법학전문대학원 students or recent graduates preparing for the bar
What You Will Do
- Support in-house counsel on corporate governance, contract review, and regulatory compliance matters
- Conduct legal research on Korean 상법, 개인정보보호법 (PIPA), and industry-specific regulations
- Assist with patent portfolio management and IP licensing agreement reviews
- Review and summarise international regulatory developments affecting Samsung's global operations
- Participate in Samsung's legal department training programmes and cross-functional team meetings
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Korean 법학전문대학원 or recent graduate awaiting bar results
- Interest in technology law, IP, or corporate compliance
- English proficiency for international legal research and document review
- Strong academic record; previous internship experience is a plus but not required
