Internship Description

Šelih & Partnerji invites applications for a Legal Intern to join our Dispute Resolution practice in Ljubljana. This internship offers direct exposure to Slovenian commercial litigation and international arbitration at one of the country's leading law firms.

You will gain practical experience with the Zakon o pravdnem postopku (ZPP, Civil Procedure Act), Zakon o arbitraži (ZArbit, Arbitration Act), and international dispute resolution mechanisms. The internship is suitable for students completing their Odvetniški kandidat training or seeking practical litigation experience.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of court filings, pleadings, and legal submissions. Research Slovenian case law and legal commentary for ongoing litigation matters. Help prepare witness statements and document bundles for trial. Support the arbitration team with procedural research and document organization. Attend court hearings and arbitration proceedings alongside senior lawyers.

Requirements

Current enrollment in or recent completion of Magister prava at a recognized university. Strong interest in litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution. Knowledge of ZPP (Civil Procedure Act) fundamentals. Proficiency in Slovenian and English. Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
