Internship Description

Cobalt is offering a Legal Internship in our IP & Technology practice, based in Tartu. You will support our lawyers on intellectual property matters, technology agreements, and digital regulation projects for Estonian and international clients.

Based in Tartu alongside the University of Tartu's law faculty, this internship offers excellent academic-practice integration. You will work on trademark registrations, software licensing, and GDPR compliance matters in Estonia's vibrant tech ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Assist with trademark searches and patent filings at the Estonian Patent Office (Patendiamet). Research Estonian and EU IP legislation and case law. Draft technology agreements and software licensing documentation. Support GDPR compliance projects and data protection advisory work. Prepare legal memoranda on emerging digital regulation topics.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in Oigusteaduse (law) at the University of Tartu or equivalent. Completed at least 4 semesters of legal studies. Interest in intellectual property, technology, or digital law. Strong research and writing skills. Fluent in Estonian and English.
