Kavčič, Bračun & Partners offers a Legal Internship in our Intellectual Property & Technology practice in Ljubljana. You will gain hands-on experience in trademark and patent prosecution, IP licensing, technology transactions, and data protection advisory at a firm recognized for its IP expertise in Slovenia.
The internship covers the Zakon o industrijski lastnini (ZIL-1, Industrial Property Act), Zakon o avtorski in sorodnih pravicah (ZASP, Copyright Act), and EU IP regulations. You will assist with URSIL (Slovenian Intellectual Property Office), EUIPO, and EPO proceedings, providing practical exposure to IP portfolio management.
Responsibilities
Assist with trademark and patent application filings before URSIL and EUIPO. Research IP law developments in Slovenia and the EU, including the Unitary Patent system. Help prepare IP licensing agreements and technology transfer documentation. Support the team with trademark watches and opposition proceedings. Draft client memos on copyright, trade secrets, and design protection matters.
Requirements
Current enrollment in or recent completion of Magister prava at a recognized university. Interest in intellectual property, technology, or digital law. Knowledge of ZIL-1 (Industrial Property Act) or ZASP (Copyright Act) fundamentals. Proficiency in Slovenian and English. Detail-oriented with strong research skills.
