Legal Intern — Regulatory Compliance

Dentons' Caracas office is offering a legal internship in its Regulatory Compliance practice. This internship provides exposure to anti-corruption compliance, internal investigations, and regulatory advisory for multinational corporations operating in Venezuela.

Key Responsibilities

• Research Venezuelan anti-corruption legislation and international compliance frameworks (FCPA, UK Bribery Act)
• Assist with compliance programme reviews and gap analysis documentation
• Support the team on internal investigation document review and analysis
• Draft compliance training materials and policy summaries
• Prepare regulatory research memoranda for client advisory projects

• Assist compliance attorneys with research and documentation
• Participate in the firm's compliance training programme
• Attend client presentations on regulatory compliance
• Maintain compliance project files and research databases

• Currently enrolled in final two years of law school (Derecho) at a Venezuelan university
• Interest in compliance, anti-corruption, or corporate governance
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in legal research databases and Microsoft Office
