Legal Intern – Renewable Energy

Ørsted offers a legal internship based in Odense on the island of Funen, supporting its onshore renewable energy and operations teams. Odense, Denmark's third-largest city and the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, is a growing hub for energy technology and green industry. Ørsted's presence in Odense supports onshore wind, solar, and green hydrogen project development across Denmark.

You will gain experience with renewable energy contracts, environmental permitting, and energy regulatory compliance in a company leading the global green energy transition.

What You Will Do

• Research Danish energy law under the Energiforsyningsloven and VE-loven
• Assist with contract review for onshore wind and solar projects
• Support the team on environmental permitting matters
• Draft internal advisory notes on energy regulatory developments
• Assist with power purchase agreement (PPA) review and analysis

• Support the energy legal team on project and regulatory matters
• Conduct legal research on energy law and regulation
• Draft research memoranda and advisory notes
• Attend team meetings and training sessions
• Complete assigned research and analysis projects

• Enrolled in or recently completed cand.jur. at a Danish university (SDU Odense or other)
• Interest in energy law, environmental law, or renewable energy
• Fluent in Danish and English
• Interest in the green energy transition and climate policy
• Good research and analytical skills
