Legal Intern — Tax Practice

Consortium Legal Guatemala offers a Legal Internship in its Tax practice in Guatemala City. You will assist senior attorneys with tax research, SAT filings, and client advisory matters, gaining practical experience in Guatemalan fiscal law.

Key Responsibilities

• Research Guatemalan tax legislation and SAT administrative rulings
• Assist with tax compliance filings and ISR/IVA declarations
• Draft basic tax memoranda and legal opinions
• Support the team on transfer pricing documentation reviews
• Attend SAT hearings and tax tribunal proceedings as an observer

• Support attorneys on active tax advisory matters
• Compile tax research and legislative updates
• Assist with document preparation for SAT audits
• Participate in firm training and professional development sessions

• Currently enrolled in a Licenciatura en Ciencias Juridicas y Sociales at a recognised Guatemalan university
• Completed at least 6th semester
• Interest in tax law and fiscal policy
• Proficiency in Spanish; English skills an advantage
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
