Internship Description
Noboa, Peña & Torres offers a pre-professional internship in its Commercial & Maritime Law practice in Guayaquil. Interns will gain practical experience in one of Ecuador's key port-city firms, supporting the team on shipping contracts, customs matters, and commercial litigation.
Guayaquil is the hub of Ecuador's export economy, and this placement provides direct exposure to maritime trade, agricultural exports, and commercial transactions.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with review and organisation of shipping documentation and bills of lading
- Conducting legal research on maritime regulations and SENAE customs procedures
- Supporting preparation of commercial contracts and legal opinions
- Helping organise case files for commercial litigation matters
- Attending court hearings and SENAE proceedings as an observer
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in the final 2 years of Derecho at a Guayaquil-based university (Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil, UEES, or equivalent)
- Interest in commercial, maritime, or international trade law
- Strong organisational and research skills
- Basic English proficiency
- Availability for a minimum of 4 months
