Pinsent Masons is offering its Summer Vacation Scheme 2026 in Manchester, providing students with a two-week insight into life at one of the UK's most innovative law firms. The Manchester office is one of Pinsent Masons' largest and handles top-quality work across construction, energy, technology, and corporate law.

Participants will be placed in a practice area and will work alongside trainees and qualified lawyers on real client matters. The scheme is designed to showcase the firm's culture of innovation and collaboration, and strong performers will be invited to apply for a training contract.

Vacation Scheme Details

Eligibility: Open to penultimate-year and final-year LLB/GDL students. Non-law students and career changers are encouraged to apply. Candidates interested in construction, energy, or technology law are particularly welcome.

• Work in a practice area on live client matters for two weeks
• Attend skills sessions, practice area talks, and partner Q&A events
• Participate in group exercises and assessed activities
• Shadow trainees and associates to experience day-to-day work
• Explore the firm's legal tech and innovation initiatives
• Network with colleagues across the Manchester office and nationally

• Penultimate or final-year undergraduate (any discipline) or GDL student
• On track for a minimum 2:1 degree
• Interest in Pinsent Masons' core sectors: construction, energy, technology, and infrastructure
• Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills
• Curiosity about legal technology and innovation
• Right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the scheme
