Practica Profesional — Asesoria Juridica Bancaria (Santiago)

Banco de Chile offers a 6-month practica profesional placement in its Asesoria Juridica (Legal Department) in Santiago centro for final-year Derecho students. The programme provides structured exposure to in-house banking law practice at one of Chile's most important financial institutions, covering regulatory compliance, credit documentation, and consumer financial protection.

Practicantes rotate through the regulatory compliance, credit and guarantees, and litigation units. The placement offers valuable insight into how a systemically important bank manages legal risk under the supervision of the CMF. Outstanding practicantes may be considered for permanent positions in the bank's legal department.

• Assisting with regulatory compliance documentation and CMF filing preparation
• Reviewing credit facility agreements and security documentation under supervision
• Conducting legal research on banking regulation, AML/CFT requirements, and consumer protection
• Supporting the litigation unit with case file review and memoranda preparation
• Attending internal training sessions on banking law and compliance

• Final-year Derecho student completing practica profesional
• Enrolled at a recognised Chilean university
• Strong interest in banking, financial regulation, or commercial law
• Knowledge of the Ley General de Bancos and Codigo de Comercio
• English proficiency at B2+ level
