Position Overview
Internship Description
PPU Chile offers a 6-month practica profesional in the Corporate practice for final-year Derecho students. The programme provides exceptional exposure to pan-Andean legal work across Chile, Colombia, and Peru through PPU's integrated platform, as well as European-Latin American transactions through the Uria Menendez alliance.
Practicantes work on live cross-border transactions, participate in PPU's regional training programme connecting offices across three countries, and benefit from mentorship by senior associates with international experience. Outstanding practicantes may be offered permanent positions and secondment opportunities to PPU's Bogota or Lima offices.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with cross-border M&A due diligence across Chile, Colombia, and Peru
- Conducting comparative legal research across Andean corporate law frameworks
- Supporting corporate governance documentation and shareholders' meeting preparation
- Participating in PPU's regional training programme and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Preparing internal memoranda on Chilean corporate law for cross-border transaction teams
Requirements
- Final-year Derecho student completing practica profesional
- Enrolled at a top Chilean law faculty
- Strong interest in corporate law and cross-border transactions
- Excellent English proficiency (C1 level preferred)
- Portuguese or additional language skills a plus for Mercosur work
