Practice Trainee – Banking & Finance
WongPartnership LLP is seeking Practice Trainees for its Banking & Finance department for the 12-month Practice Training Contract (PTC) at Marina Bay. WongPartnership offers a comprehensive training programme recognised as one of the top PTCs in Singapore, with exposure to major banking and finance transactions.
Training Highlights
- Complete the mandatory 12-month PTC with primary placement in Banking & Finance and rotations to fulfil both Advocate and Solicitor seat requirements
- Assist in drafting facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements for syndicated loans and bilateral facilities
- Gain exposure to sustainable finance, green loans, and ESG-linked financing structures
- Conduct regulatory research on Banking Act provisions, MAS notices, and Payment Services Act requirements
- Attend client meetings and closings under the supervision of partners and senior associates
Requirements
- Holder of a recognised law degree from NUS, SMU, SUSS, or an SILE-approved overseas law school
- Passed or scheduled to take the Part B Bar Examinations administered by SILE
- Strong interest in banking, finance, and regulatory law
- Excellent academic credentials and attention to detail
- Ability to manage document-intensive transactions in a team environment
This is a paid 12-month PTC position. A training honorarium is provided in accordance with Law Society guidelines.
