Internship Description
Unpaid Internship — The Capital Market Authority (CMA) of Oman offers a 3-month Regulatory Research Internship at its Al Khuwair offices in Muscat. This programme provides exposure to securities regulation, investor protection, and capital markets policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Research international securities regulation best practices (IOSCO, SEC, FCA) for benchmarking
- Assist in drafting policy papers and regulatory impact assessments
- Support the legal team in reviewing market surveillance reports and enforcement case files
- Compile data on Muscat Stock Exchange trading patterns and corporate governance compliance
- Attend regulatory hearings and public consultations
Eligibility
- Final year LLB student or LLM candidate from a recognised university
- Interest in securities regulation, capital markets, or financial law
- Strong research and analytical skills; academic writing ability
- Duration: 3 months, starts Q2 2026
- Unpaid — government sector internship with certificate of completion
