Stage en Administration Judiciaire — Ministry of Justice of Madagascar
The Ministry of Justice offers an unpaid stage in judicial administration for law students interested in public service and judicial reform. This 3-month stage at the Ministry headquarters near the Palais de Justice in Antananarivo provides insight into the functioning of Madagascar's justice system, judicial policy development, and the work of the Ministry in promoting access to justice across the country.
Stagiaires work alongside magistrats and policy advisors on research projects, legislative analysis, and reform initiatives. The stage is an excellent foundation for those considering careers in the magistrature, public administration, or international development focused on rule of law.
Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research on judicial reform initiatives and legislative proposals
- Support the preparation of policy papers and briefing documents
- Attend meetings and observe Ministry proceedings
- Assist with data collection on case backlogs and court performance metrics
- Help prepare materials for judicial training programs at ENMG
- Conduct comparative research on justice systems in francophone African countries
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a law program at the University of Antananarivo or equivalent
- Strong interest in judicial administration, public law, or legal policy
- Good academic standing and strong research skills
- Fluency in French and Malagasy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data analysis
- Malagasy citizenship required for government stage
- Available for a 3-month full-time commitment
