Stage en Contentieux et Arbitrage — HMRR Avocats

HMRR Avocats offers a paid stage in litigation and arbitration for law students seeking hands-on courtroom experience. This 6-month stage places you at the heart of one of Madagascar's top litigation practices, where you will assist senior avocats with case preparation, legal research, hearing preparation, and court appearances. You will gain exposure to commercial disputes, mining litigation, land tenure conflicts, and administrative proceedings before the highest courts in Madagascar.

HMRR's stage program is renowned for its intensity and quality of training. Stagiaires attend actual hearings at the Cour d'Appel and Cour Suprême and contribute meaningfully to case strategy discussions.

• Assist with case preparation, evidence organization, and legal research
• Draft legal briefs, submissions, and memoranda under partner supervision
• Attend court hearings at the Cour d'Appel, Tribunal de Commerce, and other jurisdictions
• Assist with arbitration preparation and document review
• Research case law and legal precedents relevant to ongoing matters
• Support the firm's pro bono land rights practice

• Currently enrolled in Master's program in law, preferably with a litigation or dispute resolution focus
• Strong academic record and interest in litigation practice
• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills in French
• Fluency in French and Malagasy; English is a plus
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Available for a 6-month full-time commitment
