Stage — Maritime & Logistics Law | Tanger Med Port Authority, Tangier

Tanger Med, Africa's largest port on the Strait of Gibraltar, offers a 4-month paid Stage within its Legal Department for law students interested in maritime law, logistics, and international trade. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on legal experience at one of the most dynamic port and industrial ecosystems in Africa.

What You'll Gain

Direct exposure to port concession law, maritime dispute resolution, free zone regulation under Loi 19-94, customs procedures, and the legal infrastructure supporting over 7 million TEU of container traffic annually. You will work alongside experienced maritime and trade lawyers in a bilingual French-English environment with significant Spanish-language exposure given Tangier's proximity to Spain.

Stage Details

  • Duration: 4 months
  • Type: Paid Stage with monthly stipend of 3,500 MAD plus transport assistance
  • Location: Tanger Med, near Tangier
  • Eligibility: Master 1 or Master 2 students in Maritime Law, Transport Law, or International Trade Law

Responsibilities

  • Assist with review and drafting of port concession agreements and terminal operator contracts
  • Research maritime law questions: cargo claims, vessel arrest, bill of lading disputes
  • Support customs and free zone regulatory compliance matters
  • Help with contract administration for Tanger Med tenants and logistics operators
  • Attend Legal Department meetings and training sessions
  • Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing on maritime and trade law developments

Requirements

  • Master 1 or Master 2 student in Maritime Law, Transport Law, or International Trade Law
  • Strong academic record from a Moroccan or international university
  • Interest in maritime law, logistics, and port operations
  • Knowledge of Morocco's Code de Commerce Maritime is an advantage
  • French and English required; Spanish and Arabic are strong advantages
