Internship Description
Summer Associate Program — Yulchon
Yulchon (율촌) is seeking Summer Associates to join its Parnas Tower, Gangnam-gu, Seoul office. Yulchon's summer program is renowned for its tax law exposure — unique among Korean firms — alongside corporate, IP, and competition law practice areas.
Program Details
- Duration: 4-6 weeks (June – July or July – August)
- Compensation: Paid — competitive monthly stipend
- Eligibility: 2nd or 3rd year 법학전문대학원 students
What You Will Do
- Gain unique exposure to Korea's #1 tax law practice, including OECD Pillar Two research and transfer pricing analysis
- Rotate through Tax, Corporate/M&A, Competition, or IP practice groups
- Draft research memoranda and assist attorneys on live client matters
- Attend Tax Tribunal hearings and KFTC proceedings
- Participate in Yulchon's training programmes and partner-led seminars
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year of an accredited Korean 법학전문대학원
- Interest in tax law, competition law, or corporate law
- Strong academic performance; tax law coursework is a plus but not required
- English proficiency for international tax and cross-border matters
