Internship Description

A&O Shearman Bratislava invites applications for its Summer Internship programme in Banking and Finance Law. This structured programme offers Slovak law students the opportunity to work within a Magic Circle firm, gaining exposure to cross-border financing transactions and Slovak banking regulation.

Interns will be embedded in the Banking and Finance team, working alongside associates and partners on live matters. The programme includes structured training, mentorship from senior lawyers, and networking opportunities with A&O Shearman offices across Europe.

Responsibilities

Support the banking and finance team on live transaction documentation. Conduct research on Slovak banking regulations and NBS requirements. Assist with drafting legal memoranda on finance law topics. Review loan documentation and security packages. Attend internal training sessions and seminars. Participate in firm social events and networking opportunities.

Requirements

Currently enrolled at a Slovak law faculty, ideally in the final year of the Mgr. programme. Strong academic performance (top 20% of class). Interest in banking, finance, and capital markets law. Slovak and English fluency; additional languages a plus. Available for 8-10 weeks during summer.
