Tập sự (Trainee Lawyer) — Corporate/M&A at VILAF, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City

VILAF is offering a 12-month paid Tập sự programme in its Corporate/M&A practice group. This structured traineeship fulfils the requirements of the Liên đoàn Luật sư Việt Nam for admission as a fully qualified Luật sư.

Programme Details

• Duration: 12 months (mandatory Tập sự period)
• Compensation: Paid — competitive monthly allowance
• Start Date: Rolling applications; next intake Q3 2026
• Eligibility: Open to final-year Cử nhân Luật students or recent graduates who have completed the Lawyer Training Course at the Judicial Academy

You will receive hands-on training in M&A, corporate governance, and FDI advisory under the supervision of experienced Luật sư hướng dẫn (supervising lawyers). VILAF's Tập sự programme has an excellent track record of trainees progressing to associate positions.

• Assist associates and partners on M&A due diligence, document drafting, and transaction support
• Conduct legal research on Vietnamese corporate and investment law issues
• Attend client meetings and observe negotiations under supervision
• Draft memoranda, corporate resolutions, and regulatory filings
• Participate in firm training sessions and professional development workshops
• Maintain case files and assist with administrative aspects of transactions

• Completed or completing Cử nhân Luật from a recognised Vietnamese university
• Completed the Lawyer Training Course (Khóa đào tạo nghề luật sư) at the Judicial Academy
• Strong academic record with interest in corporate law, M&A, or commercial transactions
• Good knowledge of Luật Doanh nghiệp 2020 and Luật Đầu tư 2020
• Fluent Vietnamese; intermediate to advanced English
• Eager to learn and committed to a career in commercial law
