Tax Law Internship - Matheson

Matheson is offering a Tax Law Internship in our leading tax practice in Dublin. You will assist the tax team with research on Irish and international tax matters, including OECD BEPS developments, EU tax directives, and Irish tax legislation. This internship provides unique exposure to international tax planning for multinational companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research Irish and international tax legislation and case law
  • Assist with the preparation of tax opinions and Revenue submissions
  • Support the team on tax aspects of M&A transactions
  • Monitor developments in OECD BEPS Pillar One and Pillar Two
  • Prepare research summaries on EU Anti-Tax Avoidance Directives

Requirements

Requirements

  • Law or tax student/graduate from a recognised Irish university
  • Interest in tax law and international taxation
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Knowledge of Irish Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 is advantageous
  • Studying for AITI/CTA or FE-1 exams is desirable
  • Right to work in Ireland
