Pinsent Masons' Doha office, based in the Qatar Financial Centre, is offering an 8-week paid internship in its Technology, Science & Industry sector group. As Qatar accelerates digital transformation under Vision 2030, this internship offers exposure to cutting-edge legal work at the intersection of technology, data privacy, and intellectual property in one of the Gulf's most forward-looking markets.

Programme Details

• Duration: 8 weeks
• Location: Pinsent Masons, QFC, West Bay, Doha
• Paid internship: Monthly stipend of QAR 5,000-6,000
• Open to: Law students or recent graduates with an interest in tech law

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on Qatar's Data Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016) and cybersecurity regulations
• Assist with IP due diligence and technology licensing agreement reviews
• Draft client briefings on emerging technology law developments in Qatar and the GCC
• Support the team on smart city procurement and fintech regulatory matters
• Attend industry events and technology law seminars

• Support the technology law team on active matters
• Complete research assignments on tech law and data privacy topics
• Attend training sessions on Qatar's digital legal landscape
• Maintain professional standards and meet deadlines
• Deliver an end-of-internship presentation on a technology law topic

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an LLB, JD, or LLM programme
• Interest in technology law, data privacy, IP, or fintech
• Strong research and writing skills in English
• Knowledge of data protection or IP law is advantageous but not required
• Right to work in Qatar or eligibility for an internship visa
