Vacation Scheme – International Practice
Latham & Watkins Singapore is offering a 4-week vacation scheme within its QFLP-licensed international practice. This programme gives high-performing law students exposure to cross-border M&A, private equity, finance, and international arbitration at a leading US-headquartered global law firm.
Programme Highlights
- Work alongside associates on live cross-border transactions including PE deals, leveraged finance, and capital markets offerings
- Conduct legal research on multi-jurisdictional deal issues across Singapore, ASEAN, and international legal frameworks
- Attend deal team meetings, client calls, and closings under partner and associate supervision
- Participate in Latham's Asia-Pacific vacation scheme programme with sessions on career development and firm culture
- Receive structured mentoring with formal mid-programme and end-of-programme feedback
Requirements
- Penultimate or final-year law student at NUS, SMU, SUSS, or a leading overseas law school
- Outstanding academic record with strong interest in international transactional practice
- Excellent English language skills and commercial awareness
- Prior relevant work experience (law firm, in-house, or regulatory body) is a plus
- Available for a 4-week commitment during the vacation period
This is a paid vacation scheme. A weekly allowance is provided for the duration of the programme.
