Job Description
The CNMV is seeking an experienced legal professional for its Enforcement & Sanctions unit at Calle Edison 4 in Madrid. You will lead investigations into market abuse, unauthorised financial activity, and compliance failures, drafting sanctions proposals and representing the CNMV before the Audiencia Nacional and Tribunal Supremo in judicial review proceedings.
Responsabilidades Principales
- Lead enforcement investigations into insider trading, market manipulation, and transparency breaches under MAR and the Ley del Mercado de Valores
- Draft pliegos de cargos (statements of objections) and propuestas de resolución sancionadora
- Represent the CNMV in contentious-administrative proceedings before the Audiencia Nacional
- Coordinate cross-border enforcement with ESMA, other EU NCAs, and IOSCO members
- Advise the CNMV Board on novel enforcement matters and policy development
Requisitos
- Licenciado/Graduado en Derecho
- 6-10 years PQE in securities enforcement, financial regulation, or regulatory litigation
- Experience with Audiencia Nacional proceedings
- Deep knowledge of MAR, MiFID II, and Spanish administrative sanctions procedure
- Fluent English for international coordination
