The role involves leading complex trademark litigation, patent prosecution, and technology transactions for multinational clients. The senior associate will manage high-profile IP disputes before the SIC and Colombian courts, advise on data protection compliance (Ley 1581 de 2012), and structure technology licensing and software development agreements. Knowledge of the Andean Community IP regime (Decisión 486) and international IP treaties is essential.

• Leading trademark and patent prosecution before the SIC and Andean Community Tribunal
• Managing IP litigation including infringement, opposition, and cancellation proceedings
• Advising technology companies on data protection compliance under Ley 1581 de 2012
• Structuring technology licensing, SaaS, and software development agreements
• Conducting IP due diligence for M&A transactions
• Coordinating with international IP firms on global portfolio management

• Título de Abogado and active Tarjeta Profesional
• 7-10 years of experience in intellectual property and technology law
• Expertise in trademark prosecution and litigation before the SIC
• Experience with patent prosecution under Decisión 486 de la Comunidad Andina
• Knowledge of data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012) and Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio enforcement
• Fluent English for international client coordination
