Job Description
Mannheimer Swartling's Gothenburg office at Östra Hamngatan 16, near Götaplatsen and the Gothenburg District Court (Göteborgs tingsrätt), is seeking an Associate for its Banking & Finance practice. Gothenburg is Sweden's second-largest financial centre, home to major industrial companies and shipping businesses. You will advise Swedish and international banks on acquisition finance, project finance, and bond issuances on Nasdaq Stockholm.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate syndicated loan agreements, security packages, and intercreditor arrangements under Swedish law
- Advise on corporate bond issuances on Nasdaq Stockholm and compliance with lagen om värdepappersmarknaden (Securities Markets Act)
- Handle security perfection including företagshypotek (floating charges) and real estate mortgages under Swedish law
- Support restructuring and insolvency mandates under konkurslagen (Bankruptcy Act) and lagen om företagsrekonstruktion (Company Reorganisation Act)
Requirements
- Swedish juristexamen; 3-5 years PQE in banking, finance, or capital markets
- Knowledge of Swedish security law, företagshypotek, and LMA documentation standards
- Experience with Finansinspektionen regulatory matters preferred
- Fluent in Swedish and English
