Job Description
Associate — Banking & Finance at S&L Advocates
S&L Advocates is looking for an Associate to join its Banking and Finance team. The role involves advising banks, development finance institutions, and borrowers on lending transactions, security structures, and regulatory compliance in Uganda's financial sector.

Responsibilities
- Draft and review loan facility agreements and security documentation
- Advise on regulatory compliance for financial institutions
- Conduct due diligence for lending transactions
- Prepare legal opinions on banking matters
- Handle security registration at URSB and land registries
- Advise on microfinance and mobile money regulations
Requirements
- LLB degree from a recognized university
- Diploma in Legal Practice from LDC
- Enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda
- 2-4 years of experience in banking and finance law
- Knowledge of the Financial Institutions Act, Mortgage Act, and Chattel Securities Act
- Strong drafting skills
