Job Description
Dentons Vilnius is recruiting an Associate to join our Dispute Resolution practice. You will represent clients in commercial disputes, arbitration proceedings, and litigation before Lithuanian courts, leveraging Dentons' global platform for cross-border dispute matters.
The role involves working with the Civilinio proceso kodeksas (Code of Civil Procedure) and representing clients before Lithuanian courts at all instances, including the Lietuvos Auksciausiasis Teismas (Supreme Court of Lithuania). You will also handle arbitration proceedings under the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration (VCCA) rules and ICC rules.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in commercial disputes before Lithuanian courts at all instances, up to the Lietuvos Auksciausiasis Teismas. Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and witness statements for litigation and arbitration proceedings. Handle international arbitration cases under VCCA, ICC, and LCIA rules. Advise clients on pre-dispute strategy, settlement negotiations, and mediation. Support enforcement of Lithuanian and foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Requirements
Teises magistras from a recognized university. 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation or arbitration. Strong knowledge of the Civilinio proceso kodeksas and Lithuanian civil procedure. Experience with international arbitration is an advantage. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
