Job Description
Dentons Vilnius, part of the world's largest law firm, is seeking a Senior Associate for our Energy & Infrastructure practice. You will advise on energy transactions, renewable energy projects, and infrastructure development matters across Lithuania and the wider Baltic region.
Lithuania's ambitious energy transition agenda, including offshore wind development in the Baltic Sea, LNG terminal operations, and synchronization with the Continental European electricity grid, creates significant demand for energy law expertise. The role involves working with the Energetikos istatymas (Law on Energy) and Atsinaujinanciu istekliu energetikos istatymas (Law on Renewable Energy).
Responsibilities
Advise on renewable energy project development, including offshore wind, solar, and biomass projects in Lithuania. Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements (PPAs), EPC contracts, and project finance documentation. Advise on regulatory matters before the Valstybine energetikos reguliavimo taryba (VERT - National Energy Regulatory Council). Support infrastructure concession and PPP projects. Coordinate with Dentons offices on cross-border energy transactions.
Requirements
Teises magistras and admission to the Lithuanian Bar (Lietuvos advokatura) preferred. 5-8 years of experience in energy, infrastructure, or project finance law. Deep knowledge of the Energetikos istatymas and Lithuanian energy regulation. Experience with renewable energy project development and PPA structures. Fluent in Lithuanian and English.
