Job Description

Al Tamimi & Company's Bahrain office in the Bahrain Financial Harbour is seeking an Associate to join its Employment & Labour practice. You will advise employers on all aspects of Bahrain labour law, including workforce restructurings, Bahrainisation compliance, and employment disputes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on compliance with the Bahrain Labour Law for the Private Sector (Law No. 36 of 2012)
  • Draft employment contracts, workplace policies, and employee handbooks compliant with Bahraini law
  • Handle termination disputes and represent clients before the Labour Court in Manama
  • Advise on Bahrainisation (workforce nationalisation) requirements under LMRA regulations
  • Support clients with work permit and visa matters through the LMRA

Responsibilities

  • Manage employment advisory matters for 10-15 corporate clients
  • Prepare training materials on Bahrain labour law updates
  • Draft submissions for Labour Court proceedings
  • Advise on collective and individual employment disputes

Requirements

  • LLB from a recognised university
  • 3-5 years post-qualification experience in employment and labour law
  • Licensed to practise in Bahrain or a GCC jurisdiction
  • Bilingual in Arabic and English
  • Knowledge of Bahrain Social Insurance Organisation (SIO) requirements
