Job Description
Vinge's Malmö office at Nordenskiöldsgatan 1 in Västra Hamnen is seeking an Associate for its EU & Competition practice. Malmö's position on the Öresund, connected to Copenhagen via the Öresund Bridge, makes it a strategic hub for cross-border Nordic and EU competition matters. You will advise on Konkurrensverket merger filings, EU Commission proceedings, and state aid compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on merger control filings before Konkurrensverket and the EU Commission
- Handle abuse of dominance investigations and cartel defence under konkurrenslagen and TFEU Articles 101-102
- Advise on EU state aid rules, SGEI frameworks, and EU subsidy control for public sector clients
- Draft competition compliance programmes and dawn raid readiness protocols
Requirements
- Swedish juristexamen or LL.M. with EU law focus; 3-5 years PQE in competition or EU law
- Knowledge of konkurrenslagen, TFEU Articles 101-102, and EU Merger Regulation
- Experience with Konkurrensverket or EU Commission proceedings preferred
- Fluent in Swedish and English; Danish useful for Öresund-region matters
