Job Description
Associate – Real Estate & Construction
Shin & Kim is seeking an Associate for its Real Estate & Construction practice at D-Tower, Jongno-gu, Seoul. You will advise on Korea's booming real estate development, infrastructure projects, and construction disputes — key growth areas as Seoul pursues major urban redevelopment projects across Gangnam, Yongsan, and the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on real estate acquisitions, project financing, and joint venture structures for commercial and residential development projects
- Draft and review construction contracts (FIDIC-based and Korean standard forms) for infrastructure and building projects
- Handle construction disputes including delay claims, defect claims, and payment disputes before Korean courts and KCAB
- Advise on Korean Real Estate Registration Act, Housing Act, and urban planning regulations
- Support foreign investors on Korean real estate acquisition procedures and Foreign Land Acquisition Act compliance
Requirements
- Korean 변호사 licence with 3-5 years of real estate, construction, or project finance experience
- Knowledge of Korean real estate regulations and construction law
- Experience with FIDIC contracts or Korean standard construction agreements
- English proficiency for cross-border investment and development projects
