Job Description
Rodner Martínez & Asociados is seeking an Associate for its Real Estate and Property practice in Caracas. You will handle property transactions, land registrations, and real estate development projects across Caracas and the greater metropolitan area.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate sale-purchase agreements, lease contracts, and real estate development agreements
- Conduct title searches and due diligence at the Oficina de Registro Inmobiliario (Property Registry)
- Advise on the Law on Urban Planning (Ley Orgánica de Ordenación Urbanística) and municipal zoning regulations
- Handle condominium property matters under the Condominium Law (Ley de Propiedad Horizontal)
- Represent clients before municipal planning authorities in Caracas, Baruta, and Chacao
Responsibilities
- Manage real estate transaction closings and registry filings
- Prepare legal opinions on property title and encumbrances
- Advise developers on environmental and urban planning compliance
- Support the team on construction contracts and project finance
Requirements
- Law degree (Abogado) from a Venezuelan university
- Registered with the Inpreabogado
- 3-5 years post-qualification experience in real estate and property law
- Fluent in Spanish; English proficiency preferred
- Knowledge of Venezuelan property registration system and urban planning regulations
