Position Overview
Job Description
Compliance doesn't scale on spreadsheets and manual reviews. As our Compliance Automation & AI Analyst, you'll identify where AI and automation can do the heavy lifting — then build it. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the regulatory environment and the tools required to work smarter within it.
Responsibilities
AI Automation & Process Optimisation
Identify, design, and implement AI-driven solutions to automate compliance and operational workflows.
Analyse existing processes across Compliance and Operations to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
Build and maintain tools (scripts, workflows, agents) to reduce manual workload and improve scalability.
Support integration of AI tools into existing systems (e.g. CRM, case management, onboarding/KYC flows).
Continuously evaluate new AI technologies and assess their applicability to business needs.
Data, Reporting & Analytics
Design and maintain dashboards to provide visibility on key compliance and operational metrics.
Automate recurring reporting (regulatory, internal MI, operational KPIs).
Work with structured and unstructured data to generate actionable insights.
Improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency across teams.
Support ad hoc data analysis requests from Compliance, Operations, and senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Compliance, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to implement scalable solutions.
Translate business problems into technical requirements and AI-driven solutions.
Act as a bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical implementation.
Support business initiatives where automation or data-driven decision-making is required.
Governance & Risk Awareness
Ensure all AI and automation solutions align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Maintain clear documentation of tools, processes, and decision logic.
Support auditability and transparency of automated processes.
Monitor performance and risks of deployed solutions and implement improvements where needed.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Proactively identify new use cases for AI across the business.
Drive a culture of efficiency, automation, and data-driven thinking.
Stay up to date with developments in AI, automation, and data tooling.
Contribute to long-term strategy on how AI can enhance compliance and operations functions.
Requirements
- Essential
- Demonstrable experience building automated workflows or tools using Python, with comfort working with APIs, data manipulation libraries (pandas, etc.), and scripting for practical business problems
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools (prompt engineering, integrating models via API, building AI-assisted workflows) — not just end-user familiarity
- Strong data analysis and visualisation skills — ability to work with messy datasets, build dashboards, and produce clear MI from multiple sources
- Experience with low-code/no-code automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Power Automate, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical solutions into plain language for non-technical compliance stakeholders, and understand business problems well enough to scope solutions independently
- Self-starter comfortable working across multiple teams and jurisdictions with minimal supervision
- Attention to documentation, version control, and maintainability of solutions Desirable
- Experience working in financial services compliance, legal, risk,
- Understanding of RegTech landscape and emerging compliance technology
- Experience evaluating and implementing third-party SaaS/AI tools
- Comfortable using Docker and environment management to ensure automation tools run reliably and consistently
- Experienced with enterprise AI hubs like AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, or Google Vertex AI to build and test AI-driven workflows. Basic proficiency in Git to track changes, collaborate with technical teams, and maintain an audit trail for compliance scripts
