Are my PDFs uploaded to LegalAlphabet?

No. The search runs entirely in your browser using a local PDF text reader. Your files are not uploaded to LegalAlphabet or any server.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Only if the scan already has a selectable text layer. Image-only scans with no embedded text return no matches and first need OCR in a dedicated OCR tool.

Can I save the search results?

Yes. You can copy the results, or download them as a plain-text report or a CSV file listing each file, page number, and the matching text snippet.
