Aviation Legal Counsel — Emirates Group

The Emirates Group is seeking an Aviation Legal Counsel to join our legal division at the Group Headquarters near Dubai International Airport, Garhoud. You will advise on aircraft leasing and financing, route licensing, bilateral air service agreements, and GCAA regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on aircraft operating leases, finance leases, and sale-leaseback transactions
• Support the negotiation of bilateral air service agreements and traffic rights with aviation authorities worldwide
• Handle General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulatory compliance and licensing matters
• Advise on the Cape Town Convention and Aircraft Protocol for security interests in aircraft
• Manage passenger claims, baggage liability, and Montreal Convention disputes
• Support procurement contracts for aircraft components, ground handling, and catering services

• 5-8 years PQE in aviation law, transport law, or commercial law with aviation focus
• Knowledge of the Chicago Convention, bilateral air service agreements, and IATA standards
• Experience with aircraft financing and leasing transactions
• Familiarity with UAE GCAA regulations desirable
• Common law qualification preferred (England & Wales, Australia, India, or equivalent)
• Excellent English language skills; additional languages welcome
