Key Responsibilities

• Handle maritime disputes including cargo claims, charter party disputes, and ship arrest proceedings under Turkish Commercial Code Book 5 (Maritime Commerce)
• Advise exporters and importers on international sale contracts, letters of credit, and Incoterms
• Represent clients in customs disputes before the Izmir Customs Directorate and administrative courts
• Handle insurance claims and marine insurance litigation
• Advise on Aegean Free Zone operations, bonded warehouse regulations, and free trade zone incentives
• Support enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards relating to international trade

• Active avukat license registered with the Izmir Bar Association (Izmir Barosu)
• 3-6 years of commercial law experience; maritime, trade, or customs law specialization preferred
• Knowledge of Turkish Commercial Code maritime provisions, Customs Law No. 4458, and international trade regulations
• Experience with international commercial contracts and dispute resolution
• LLB from a recognized Turkish university (Dokuz Eylul University, Ege University, or equivalent)
• Fluent Turkish and English; Greek language skills are a plus for cross-Aegean trade matters
