Job Description

Icelandair Group is seeking an Aviation & Regulatory Lawyer to advise on airline regulatory compliance, route licensing, and international aviation agreements. You will support Icelandair's operations across North Atlantic routes and ensure compliance with ICAO, EASA, and Icelandic Transport Authority requirements.

Responsibilities

Advise on route licensing, traffic rights, and bilateral air service agreements. Ensure regulatory compliance with EASA, the Icelandic Transport Authority, and foreign aviation authorities. Draft and negotiate aircraft lease agreements, code-share arrangements, and alliance contracts. Handle passenger rights claims and regulatory enforcement proceedings.

Requirements

Cand.Jur. or LL.M. degree. 6+ years of experience in aviation law, transport regulation, or international regulatory compliance. Knowledge of the Chicago Convention, EU aviation regulations (as adopted under EEA), and Icelandic Aviation Act. Fluent in English; Icelandic preferred.
