Cleary Gottlieb Paris seeks an Avocat for its Restructuring and Insolvency (Procedures collectives) practice. You will advise creditors, debtors, and investors on French insolvency proceedings including sauvegarde, redressement judiciaire, and liquidation judiciaire before the Tribunal de commerce de Paris.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on French insolvency proceedings under the Code de commerce (Livre VI)
• Represent creditors and debtors in sauvegarde and redressement judiciaire proceedings
• Structure distressed M&A transactions and asset acquisitions from insolvency estates
• Negotiate standstill agreements and amend-and-extend transactions
• Appear before the Tribunal de commerce de Paris on insolvency matters

Requirements

• Master 2 in Business Law with specialization in insolvency/restructuring
• Barreau de Paris admission
• 3-6 years PQE in restructuring at a leading firm
• Strong knowledge of French insolvency law (procedures collectives)
• Bilingual French/English
