Job Description

The Superintendencia de Bancos de Panamá (SBP) is hiring a Banking Supervision Legal Examiner to conduct on-site and off-site examinations of licensed banks. You will assess regulatory compliance, governance frameworks, and risk management practices across Panama's international banking center.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site examinations of licensed banks for regulatory compliance. Review corporate governance and risk management frameworks. Draft examination reports with findings and corrective action recommendations. Monitor banks' compliance with SBP Acuerdos and directives. Participate in cross-border supervisory coordination with foreign regulators.

Requirements

Licenciatura en Derecho. 3-5 years of experience in banking regulation, compliance, or auditing. Knowledge of the Ley Bancaria and Basel III standards. Government service aptitude. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
