Job Description

Patton Moreno & Asvat seeks a Civil and Commercial Litigation Associate to represent corporate clients in disputes before Panama's courts. The role covers breach of contract, shareholder disputes, and enforcement of foreign judgments under the Código Judicial.

Responsibilities

Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs for civil and commercial matters. Represent clients at hearings and trials in Panama City courts. Handle exequátur proceedings for recognition of foreign judgments. Manage discovery, evidence collection, and witness preparation. Coordinate with international counsel on cross-border disputes.

Requirements

Licenciatura en Derecho. Colegio Nacional de Abogados de Panamá membership. 3-5 years of civil litigation experience. Strong knowledge of the Código Judicial and Código de Comercio. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills in Spanish.
