Job Description
The Competition Council of Latvia is seeking a Competition Law Analyst to investigate anti-competitive practices and review merger notifications. You will contribute to maintaining fair competition in the Latvian market across various economic sectors.
Responsibilities
Conduct investigations into potential cartels, abuse of dominance, and unfair commercial practices. Analyze merger notifications and assess their impact on market competition. Prepare case reports and present findings to the Council. Monitor market developments and recommend enforcement priorities.
Requirements
Master's degree in law or economics. 2-4 years of experience in competition law or economic analysis. Knowledge of Latvian Competition Law and EU Treaty provisions on competition. Analytical mindset with strong research skills. Fluent in Latvian and English.
