Job Description

The County Government of Uasin Gishu seeks a Legal Counsel to advise the County Executive on governance, constitutional, and devolution matters. You will draft county legislation, review contracts, represent the county in legal proceedings, and ensure compliance with the County Government Act.

Responsibilities

Advise the Governor and County Executive Committee on legal matters, Draft and review county Bills, policies, and regulations, Handle litigation involving the county government, Review procurement contracts and public-private partnerships, Represent the county at tribunals and commissions

Requirements

LLB degree, Admitted to the Kenya Bar with current practising certificate, 5+ years PQE, Experience in public law, devolution, or constitutional law, CPS qualification an added advantage
